Full-time, fixed term (12 months)
Now is an exciting time to study genetic factors involved in cardiovascular diseases and cancers. At the Department of Life Sciences, we have an opportunity for a passionate researcher with a post graduate degree in Data Science and (Genetic) Epidemiology. You will be working at Dr Pazoki’s (Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences) group in an ambitious environment with high impact (genetic) epidemiological research agenda. In our group, we apply advanced methods such as genome wide association analysis, polygenic models, and mendelian randomization analysis to understand genetic and lifestyle causes of complex diseases. This opportunity is funded by the MRC Rutherford fund and we are in active collaboration with University of Cambridge and Imperial College London.
You should have a track record in Genetic Epidemiology/ Statistical Genetics and excellent data analytical skills are essential. Applicants with a background in (Genetic) Epidemiology, Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.
