The Planning and Statistics Directorate is looking to recruit a highly motivated analyst responsible for maintaining and reporting on the key performance indicator (KPI) and benchmarking processes for the University, in order that senior managers and key decision makers have the information necessary to ensure that strategic goals are being met. The successful candidate will develop new methods of presenting numerical information about the University, interactively, using the latest software technology. They will also contribute to the work of the Directorate by managing our suite of dashboards and will be involved in the preparation and submission of data to the Higher Education Statistics Agency.

You should have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, an enquiring and analytical mind, and a methodical approach to work. You should have a sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and experience of using visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience of using data analysis tools such as Alteryx would be an advantage. You should have experience of liaising within a large and complex organisation. Knowledge of HE reporting requirements and of the key issues facing the HE sector are desirable as is experience in providing training to users of reporting systems. A degree or relevant experience is essential, as are well developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

You must work flexibly in a team whilst sustaining a high degree of initiative in your own area of work.
