Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Clinical Pharmacy and Practice

The College of Pharmacy is the first and only pharmacy degree program in the State of    Qatar.    The    College   offers  5-year    BSc  (Pharmacy),    1 - y e a r    p o s t - B a c c a l a u r e a t e Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), 2-year MSc (Pharm), and a PhD degree programs. Our BSc and PharmD degree programs are the first international programs to be accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) and partners with local and international education and healthcare institutions to support its academic and research mandates. The College of Pharmacy at QU hereby invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, beginning January 2021. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Minimum requirements include an earned doctorate degree from a reputable university with an appropriate research background and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates with a professional degree in c l i nic a l pharmacy and/or pharmacy practice and at least 10 years of teaching experience with documented accomplishments in teaching, research, and service are preferred.

The successful candidate will teach and coordinate courses in clinical pharmacy and practice at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The candidate must have a strong research record commensurate with the rank sought as evidenced by publications in reputable peer-reviewed international journals. The successful candidate will establish an active independent research program that incorporates undergraduate and graduate research. In addition, the candidate will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other colleges under the QU Health Cluster (including the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Health Sciences) in both teaching and research. A research portfolio that complements the existing research strengths established by the QU Health Cluster according to the Qatar 2030 Vision is an added advantage.
