DIRECTOR OF EVENT MARKETING, MIT Technology Review (MITTR), to own the development and execution of online and offline strategies to drive audience, achieve attendee revenue goals, generate brand awareness, and build loyalty for MITTR events --virtually, physically, or in hybrid form. Will develop multichannel marketing plans by researching and defining event attendee requirements, identifying target audience, analyzing competitors' offerings, and identifying potential event partnerships; build strategy that drives demand by creating promotions that delight and engage, builds the brand, and expands MITTR’s brand reach through virtual and live events; capture the voice of MITTR events in a clear and compelling way; collaborate with a cross functional team to develop messaging and collateral for events and to test new ways of driving more leads and more registrations; use analytics to measure/report on campaigns, bringing better understanding of attendees, improving engagement, and driving the continual optimization for future events; drive audience segmentation and communication conversion strategies to generate higher conversion and greater ROI; and provide vendor and partner oversight for marketing-related projects and manage internal and external resource and priorities.

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in marketing, marketing communications, or related field; at least five years’ event marketing experience, preferably in media and emerging tech; experience developing audience for virtual and/or live events; experience working across multiple organization, executive leadership, and external agencies to manage event strategy; understanding of; graphic design and copy fitting; strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, time-management, project-management, and communication skills; ability to multitask and pay meticulous attention to details; and basic knowledge of marketing automation/optimization tools.
