SALES SUPPORT ANALYSTMIT Press (MITP), to support MITP’s worldwide sales effort by coordinating with the sales partnerships and in-house sales group. Will also assist in implementing new systems for tracking and increasing sales, support new market opportunities, and assist with seasonal conferences. Responsibilities include creating materials necessary for outsourced sales teams (i.e., TI sheets, presentation slides), rewriting sales points as necessary; monitoring data in external sales systems and ensuring accuracy of feeds; compiling, analyzing, and sharing data; running and distributing internal sales reports from sales partners on a weekly basis, focusing on both domestic and international sales performance; working with the sales team and assisting with resolving all order escalation issues, working closely with the manufacturing, logistics, order management teams; organizing outreach to key independent bookstores to ensure that MITP’s reputation in that channel is strong; working with the Exhibits Department to establish best practices for industry trade shows (BEA, Winter Institute, LBF, etc.) and creating collateral for said shows in conjunction with marketing and publicity; organizing and administrating weekly sales/marketing meetings; handling logistical planning for internal seasonal list launches; making occasional book presentations to external partners; working closely with the catalog manager on the seasonal catalog (contents, bookstores recipient list); acting as primary sales liaison for author events; and performing other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

REQUIREDbachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience in sales, marketing, or related field, experience with spreadsheet and database software and sales support systems/tools, strong written and oral communication skills, and comfort managing multiple projects while working under tight deadlines.  

PREFERRED:  solid understanding of the latest digital and e-marketing tools.  Job #18666-6
