Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences

• Fixed-term, full-time appointment (5 years)

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (EIS) is research intensive and maintains strong connections with industry and government through research collaborations, student internship placements, research projects and community engagement. 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal and strategic management skills to lead the EIS workshops and laboratories. The successful applicant will oversee approximately 35 technical staff who provide expertise for broad research and lab classes within our 90 labs and workshops.

A major accountability of this role is the optimisation of facilities in support of the Faculty’s goals which requires an ongoing monitoring, reallocation and renewal of resources. Detailed knowledge of individual work programs coupled with high level planning and communication skills are keys to success in this role.
