School of Computer Science and Engineering invites applications for the position of Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities: 

Development of the following areas:

  • Machine reasoning methods
  • Vision-language methods for vision and language, including visual question answering and visual captioning
  • Causal reasoning tools, including causal inference, counterfactual analysis, causal discovery
  • Deep learning methods and theory
  • Computer vision methods
  • Natural language processing methods
  • Causal inference theory

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Strong mathematical background and related project experience
  • Minimum 1 years of related work experience
  • Deep understanding of the theory of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision and Causal Inference
  • Experience in at least one Deep Learning framework such as Tensorflow, Pytorch and Programming Languages such as Python, Matlab, R and/or C/C++
  • Demonstrated project experience related to causal inference will be an advantage
  • Good written and oral communication skills

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
