The Department of Basic and Translational Sciences brings together the School of Dental Medicine’s School’s basic sciences faculty in the areas of anatomy and cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology into one unified department. Spanning common research between lab groups, interdisciplinary collaboration creates a synergy to leverage the collective potential of faculty, testing the boundaries of basic science, translational medicine, and clinical sciences to support and advance research across disciplines.
- Conduct experiments as instructed by Principal Investigators and assist lab personnel, to include independent experiments in cell culture and genotyping, immunoblotting, and ELISA
- Assist in maintaining lab supplies and ordering lab inventory of reagents and supplies
- Supervise student researchers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Research Specialist A:
Bachelor's degree and 0-1 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Research Specialist B:
Bachelor's degree with preferred field of study in biomedical sciences and 1-2 years of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position will also be responsible for supervising students.
