At TU Dresden, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Institute of Automation, Chair of Process Control Systems offers a position as
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
starting 01.01.2021. The position is limited for a year with the possibility to extend if suitable. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification.

Tasks: The focus of your task is the formal modelling and transformation of information models for the description of recipes to be used in laboratory environments and complex modular process plants. In addition, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of support systems for information enrichment and recipe processing. The research results will be coordinated with the project partners from industry and science and published at international conferences and in recognised scientific journals.
Requirements: above average university degree in the field of computer science, information systems engineering, electrical engineering, process informatics or related fields. You should have an enthusiasm for new challenges in computer science aspect related to industry. This requires solid knowledge of describing information models and interaction with those. As well as very good programming skills in common languages. Object-oriented programming concepts should not be foreign. An independent, goal- and solution-oriented way of working and inter- and multidisciplinary thinking as well as a confident command of the English and German language in spoken and written. Experience in process engineering is desirable.
