Lecturer in Computer Science Education
The Department of Informatics is seeking applications from candidates for the position of Lecturer in Computer Science on the Academic Education Pathway (AEP), starting in November 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful applicant for this post will be primarily focused on teaching in the area of computer science and/or artificial intelligence, with a focus on enhancing educational quality and innovation. She or he will be assigned to teach on our undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate projects on these programmes. The successful applicant will need knowledge and awareness of current research and practice in an area relevant to computer science and/or artificial intelligence.
Applicants must have a PhD in computer science or a related field. The successful applicant will be part of the Department of Informatics and will be expected to contribute to its wider activities and development. Engagement in research related to computer science where applicable in improving research-led teaching on taught programmes is encouraged.
