The Faculty of Sport, Health and Applied Science is an internationally recognised centre with established expertise and resources in sport, health and exercise sciences. The University is one of London’s top-performing sports institutions. Our new £8.5m sports centre was home to athletes from ten teams during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Today, it is a regular training ground for many international athletes.
We are looking for a Department Administrator to join our team to provide high level administrative support and organisation to a busy department. You will be liaising with internal university services as well as external stakeholders to assist with both finance based administration as well as assisting in the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
Sport St Mary’s manages an extensive range of sports facilities and development programmes at one of the UK’s best sport institutions. This includes supporting the PE and sport programmes that are delivered out of the sport facilities, providing programmes that develop every level of participation from SIMMSport for local children, to talented distance runners as part of the Endurance Performance Centre, to international squads competing at major championships. The Department also works closely with the Students’ Union to help students to flourish through involvement in physical activity and sport, coaching and volunteering etc.
Successful applicants will have:
- Experience of working in an office based environment using the Microsoft office suite ·
- A confident approach to finance based tasks, such as raising purchase orders and banking income ·
- The ability to adapt to a varied office environment with an energetic dynamic
