BNU – HKBU UNITED INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (UIC)

UIC, jointly established by Beijing Normal University and Hong Kong Baptist University in 2005, is the first full-scale collaboration between academic institutions from mainland China and Hong Kong. As a liberal arts college, UIC's education encourages a high level of student-faculty interaction and collaboration. UIC is located in the proximity of Zhuhai, a city which is not only environmental-friendly but also plays a key role in the “Greater Bay Area (GBA)” initiative. BNU-UIC Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Future Networks

BNU-UIC Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Future Networks is currently composed of famous computer/IT scientists (including IEEE Fellows, academicians and other leading professors), aiming at fundamental research and engineering development on new generation of artificial intelligence, big data, industry 4.0, future networks (5G/6G), intelligence sensing etc. to promote innovation in basic theories and engineering practices for those fields. Focusing on cross-domain deep learning and network integrations, the Institute is currently establishing a high-performance intelligent supercomputing and network center to provide researchers with the means of the most advanced research and experimental platform. To this end, we urgently need the talents around the world to join us and the university will provide the competitive salary and benefits.

 

Job Requirement 

  1. Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Networking, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Parallel and Distributed System.
  2. Candidates should have a PhD degree in computer Science or related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or postgraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in high quality international-refereed journals. 
  3. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and research accomplishments.

A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave, housing allowance or arrangement, and medical benefits. Offices will be provided to the appointee at BNU campus (in Zhuhai) and UIC campus, which are in close proximity to each other.
