The Fiscal Affairs Group, a department within the School of Medicine’s Dean’s Office, is seeking a full-time Faculty Compensation Administrator. The Faculty Compensation Administrator will provide PeopleSoft HRMS support and general compensation administrative support for the Faculty Compensation team, which administers compensation for the School’s 2,900 faculty and other teaching titles.

Duties include:

  • Approve payroll actions for new hires, ongoing actions, and terminating faculty’s PeopleSoft records. Review faculty web forms, one-time pay forms, and recurring pay forms for correct data entry and coding of transactions. Work with and advise Department web form originators to ensure correct coding and other web form content as needed. Obtain necessary approvals for honoraria payments, notify originator of approved requests, and track and approve payment transactions in PeopleSoft web forms.
  • Serve as a Faculty Compensation resource to HRAs and Department personnel regarding PeopleSoft Web forms to initiate, change, or terminate payroll for School of Medicine faculty; advise on proper set-up of supplemental or recurring payments. 
  • Maintain up-to-date salary information, including annual updates for 2,600 faculty as well as daily tracking of faculty actions that will impact salary, leave status, etc. Audit completed transactions by running/reviewing activity reports on a bi-monthly basis. Confirm daily OTPs/RPFs approvals above thresholds with Faculty Compensation Analyst before forwarding to the HR Transaction Team for processing.
  • Support Department recruitment processes by coordinating compensation information to the Faculty Staff Housing Office for candidates and other faculty applying for University Housing program benefits.
  • Maintain department signed copies of all Offer Letters, Addendums, Salary Notification Letters, and other faculty compensation documentation in Open Text and designated electronic files.
  • Support the production of and distribute annual faculty salary setting materials and Compensation Committee materials for the Dean’s and Provost’s office. Maintain and update materials for the Faculty Compensation website and Lean Viz board.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

  • Associate degree and two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: 

  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, and use a telephone.
  • Occasionally write by hand, twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds, sort/file paperwork.
  • Rarely kneel/crawl, operate foot and/or hand controls.
