Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Project Officer to work on the development of new material systems and related applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate carbon-based perovskite solar cells by using screen printing method
  • Investigate the infiltration, additive and passivation effect on carbon-based perovskite solar cells
  • Development of low-temperature processable carbon electrode
  • Achieve functioning devices using alternative/benign solvents through optimization
  • Development of devices with interfaces optimization
  • Analyse the photophysical and electronic properties, develop encapsulation and study device stability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or other related subjects
  • Research background in perovskite photovoltaics and ability to perform material characterization and analysis
  • Experience in fabrication of perovskite solar cells and various kinds of photophysical and electronic characterizations
  • Good skills in time management, experiment design and data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to the whole team

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
