As a part of the Surbana Jurong-NTU Corporate Lab (SJ-NTU Corp Lab), we are looking for experienced individuals with strong background in chemical engineering and process system engineering. The hired researchers will join an interdisciplinary team of researchers and participate in project to develop innovative solutions for improved energy efficiency and emission reduction. These solutions include improving the performance of existing emission reduction technologies, or ab initio development of novel technologies. The aim of these solutions is to maximise the utilisation of various forms of energies carried by the process streams in an industrial system. Promising solutions developed will be experimentally validated, demonstrated and potentially commercialised at the SJ-NTU Corporate Lab.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver project KPIs and objectives per plan
  • Manage and plan project budget, establish forecasts, and monitor expenditure against budget
  • Ensure Milestone delivery per plan/schedule, manage/control project risks & mitigation actions
  • Project updates and reviews
  • Prepare/consolidate reports (finance, technical)
  • Engage project PI (on project technical capabilities) and SJ stakeholders (to ensure deliverables meet key stakeholders’ requirements) regularly
  • Manage project documentation, knowledge/data capture and reporting
  • Assist Project PI on recruitment & hiring, on boarding & exit formalities
  • Oversee claims & procurement for project

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Process System Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • More than 3 years of Project Management experience in Technology Development / Research setup
  • Good knowledge of Project Management methodologies
  • Strong communication skill and ability to work in a diverse, international, and cross-disciplinary R&D environment
  • Drive for results: Focuses on expedient delivery, to the right level of resolution and quality
  • Concern for accuracy: Consistently delivers the required level of accuracy and quality
  • Attitude: Takes job responsibilities seriously, and conducts themselves in a positive and professional manner
  • Planning and Organizing: Able to develop clear, efficient, and logical approaches to work

• Excellent academic records and research potential.

Terms and Conditions:

• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
