Job Details

The candidate should possess a recognised PhD degree in Heat Transfer/Thermal Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of one-year post-doctoral experience. He or she will be mainly responsible for the design of experimental facilities and the performance of experimental and simulation studies energy storage systems using phase change materials. Prior experience in numerical solution, in general, and the use of topology optimisation techniques, in particular, for the design of enhanced energy storage systems will be a great advantage. In addition, the candidate will also assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and his co-investigator in the supervision of junior research staff, graduate and undergraduate students in the research team, and perform all related assignments and studies as directed by the PI from time to time.

- PhD degree in Heat Transfer or Thermal Engineering
- Experimental and Numerical Modelling Skills

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
