Lecturer
D-20-AAS-00002 | African American Studies | Faculty |
The Department of African American Studies at Princeton University has an occasional need for lecturers to teach precepts (sections) in our philosophy of race course and potentially in other courses, as needed. These positions require general knowledge of African American History since emancipation, and some familiarity with broad philosophical literature on race. Duties will include leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the instructor, holding office hours and assessing student papers. Appointment duty time is subject to enrollments and may be for one semester, or for the academic year, beginning September 1, 2020.
An advanced degree is required. Please provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching interest, and the names and contact information for three references. Due to the volume of applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. No letters of recommendation are required at this time. Candidates must apply online at: https://puwebp.princeton.edu/AcadHire/position/16261
These positions are subject to the University's background check policy.
