Job Purpose

To provide administrative support for a busy University and Apprenticeship Learning Support service. To maintain accurate student records and data in accordance with GDPR, to undertake invoicing and maintain financial records of student support costs; including Government funding returns for Apprenticeships. The role includes the production of statistical reports. The role is key part of a busy national Learning Support and Inclusion service.

Key Responsibilities:

As a learning support administrator you will maintain student databases and spreadsheets to enter, edit and organise numerical and disability related data. You will liaise with the exams team to ensure information is accurate for the implementation of exams support. You will process invoices for the service and monitor accounts as well as produce and track funding returns. In this position, you will undertake and lead on internal audits in addition to producing reports both financial and in relation to disability information. You will maintain an internal repository of forms and guidance. You will be required to use word processing software to format and present high quality documents. This role requires you to record and monitor departmental costs, attend meetings, manage online and paper filing systems, as well as research and collate information relating to disability and inclusion. Additionally, you are expected to undertake any other administrative tasks commensurate with the role.

Candidate Criteria

You must have a degree or equivalent qualification as well as at least level 2 English and Maths. Ideally you have an IT qualification such as EDCL. You are required to have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel. You should have experience of (ideally student) databases and management information systems. You must have an ability to build excellent internal relationships with other teams at BPP. You are required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is essential for you to have respect for confidentiality and compliance with GDPR. You must have the ability to plan, prioritise and be accountable for your own work. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines are imperative. You must have the ability to maintain accurate records including documents and data. In your role you will work on the agreement of development needs using feedback and a learning plan to evaluate and improve performance. You must be respectful and empathetic to others. Adherence with all BPP employee policies and procedures are required.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
