About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare leader to contribute to the advancement of contemporary healthcare: using theory to drive change; teaching key competencies in strategy, interpersonal skills and effective learning; and adapting to changing healthcare systems, practices and technologies.  The successful candidate(s) will undertake innovative, student centred teaching activity with a strong focus on delivering the SCU Online Master of Healthcare Leadership program.

These positions are offered as Teaching Scholar roles, with a focus of teaching, scholarship of teaching and service activities.

The successful candidate(s) may negotiate a part-time or full-time placement at any one of our picturesque locations, the beachside Gold Coast campus, the green rainforests of Lismore campus, or the best of both worlds with a Coffs Harbour-based appointment. Southern Cross University may make two appointments as part of this recruitment process (one full-time or two part-time).

Lecturer – A remuneration package of up to $138,091 per annum is offered for a Lecturer appointment, inclusive of base salary $99,649-$118,027 per annum and 17% employer contribution to superannuation.  Pro-rata for part-time appointment.

Associate Lecturer - A remuneration package of up to $116,951 per annum is offered for a Associate Lecturer appointment, inclusive of base salary $70,245-$94,748 per annum and 17% employer contribution to superannuation. Pro-rata for part-time appointment.

About you

We are seeking applications from healthcare leaders, from backgrounds that may include public health, psychology, nursing, allied heath, health sociology, health promotion or similar. Applicants should demonstrate an innovative and solutions-based approach, with commitment to enhancing graduate outcomes for the Master of Healthcare Leadership students.

The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and energise graduates to lead positive change and utilise research to present solutions using the latest evidenced-based theories in health practice.
