Job Details
Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs) and industry companies to co-develop commercialization projects to achieve decarbonization, energy efficiency, reliability and security
- Prepare technical / business whitepapers on smart grids / power electronics
- Maintain and update website and membership database
- Maintain memberships’ billing and responsible for small value purchases
- Plan, organize, and execute technical workshops, networking events and conferences / seminars and coordinate grant calls
- Prepare and present programme updates and research proposal to the management teams, stakeholders and funding agencies
- Prepare quarterly updates and annual report to the funding agencies
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent with minimum 2 years of working experience
- Work experience in renewable energy sector and/or with experience in commercialization of research project will be an added advantage
- Well informed and knowledgeable in smart grid, renewables energy, power electronics related technology trends
- Familiar with the local research grant application and funding agencies such as NRF, EMA, EDB, ESG, A*STAR etc. will be advantageous
- Familiar in research grant administration and working experience with IHLs is preferred

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
