With 40 highly experienced staff and former practitioners, modern teaching rooms and facilities, including a Moot Room, Coventry School of Law has over 50 years’ experience teaching law and has a reputation for delivering courses that are designed to be current, employability focused and challenging. The past three years have seen the School enhance its national and global profile with the development of new and successful international partnerships across the globe and the delivery of a new curriculum for 2020. The School sits within the wider Faculty of Business and Law, which has 8,500 students and is a key part of the University dynamic.

At a pivotal an exciting point in time for legal education, our new Head will provide strategic and academic leadership to further develop our teaching and research activity.  The School has particularly strong external partnerships with domestic partners such as the UK Civil Service and a range of overseas universities; our next Head of School must be an effective networker and drive the potential of the School on the global stage. Candidates will combine a relevant academic and leadership track record with a passion and care for higher education with an ability to work collaboratively with students, staff and partners to craft a compelling vision for the School’s future as we adjust to sector and professional changes in legal education.
