Position Summary:

This position will provide leadership for the Caring Futures Institute in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The newly established Flinders Institute is Australia’s first fully dedicated research organisation for the study of self-care and caring solutions, encompassing research into self-care, health and wellness, community involvement, care interventions, and health, ageing and social care systems and services. We work with leading care organisations, health professionals, community partners and consumers to pioneer outcome-driven research that makes a positive impact on people’s lives.

The Director will also be a prominent research leader and is expected to apply for external fellowships and funding and undertake new research whilst fostering a vibrant research culture in the Caring Futures Institute and more broadly across the University, including building strong and productive relationships with industry and other tertiary institutions.

Please note: Pursuant to Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA) this position has been deemed prescribed. It is an inherent requirement of the position that the successful candidate maintains a current Working With Children Check which is satisfactory to the University.

A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
