Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in the Department of Law and Criminology. There are three posts available. Two are full time permanent and one is full time and fixed term for two years.

The Department of Law and Criminology at Royal Holloway University of London is a forward thinking, multidisciplinary and research active department, where we offer undergraduate programmes in Law, Criminology & Psychology and Criminology & Sociology, together with Masters programmes in Forensic Psychology, Consumption, Culture & Marketing, Policing and Criminal Justice and Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies.  The Department is also home to an energetic postgraduate research student community.

We seek outstanding teachers and researchers to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. Applicants should possess the broad range of skills needed to teach effectively and as well as core teaching within our existing programmes should be able to contribute to and develop the Department’s teaching portfolio at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the supervision of doctoral students and the development of specialist options within the Department to reflect specific areas of expertise. We also expect colleagues to contribute to the effective administration of the Department.

We have three posts on offer (Two are full time permanent and one is full time and fixed term for two years) and each of the positions include teaching undergraduate core subjects. Two of the posts will be in the area of Private Law and we have a particular interest in candidates who are able to teach in a range of subjects including the Law of Obligations (Contracts and Torts) Property Law (Land and Trusts) and Commercial, Company and Intellectual Property Law. The other post will be in the areas of Public and/or Criminal Law. All of the posts will be on our research and teaching tracks and we are specifically keen on applicants who currently research in the areas of Private Law and/or Criminal Law.

The posts are all based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
