Summary:

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the optimization, maintenance, and measurement of HUECU web content and social media. The position will work with the Marketing Manager to maintain alignment with advertising goals, content strategy and outreach efforts. Will work closely with the Digital Experience team to enhance the user experience, generate qualified leads, and deepen customer engagement across all digital channels.

This position has exposure to all areas of the business, including IT, operations, and product managers. Partners with outside agencies and vendors in order to achieve the planned tactical objectives. The Digital Marketing Specialist is an integral part of the Marketing team and will provide assistance on a variety of duties in support of the strategic goals.

Job-Specific Responsibilities

  • Integrate online efforts with marketing communications and outreach activities to deliver optimal business support, including email campaigns, landing pages, webinars, etc.
  • Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling.
  • Implement a content strategy that fosters audience development and drives conversions.
  • Lead the execution and optimization of paid digital advertising.
  • Analyze and report on key metrics to provide actionable insights into customer behavior across digital channels.
  • Grow the Credit Union’s online community and monitor social channels for customer feedback, delivering high quality service standards while advocating for the HUECU brand.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships to ensure efficient and effective use of external resources.
  • Assist in website management for all HUECU online properties.
  • Provide event support as needed.
  • Perform various administrative and other duties to support the department.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of 2 years professional experience on a digital or content marketing team
  • Direct experience with WordPress CMS
  • Working knowledge of inbound marketing, email marketing, online advertising and analytics

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Familiarity with social platforms and respective audiences
  • Experience with HTML/CSS , MailChimp, and HubSpot platforms
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Copywriting and proofreading/editing experience preferred
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs and other materials as required.
  • Must be able to work in the very diverse environment of Harvard University.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a office environment.
