Job Description Summary

Lab coordinator to handle routine aspects of the Issadore lab’s research program within the department of Bioengineering, including both basic administrative functions and basic laboratory functions.

Job Description

Supervises the daily functions of laboratory staff and handles personnel-related actions in Workday (e.g. approves weekly timesheets on behalf of supervisor). Runs routine chemical and biological assays related to research program. Works with school business office to establish and monitor sponsored project accounts. Compiles and prepares research data for use in reports, proposals, and internal budgeting. Starting from existing sources, searches and compiles information on possible sources and agencies for funding and assists with preliminary writing of proposals. Works with University compliance agencies to maintain routine facilities and ensure conformity to safety regulations.

Qualifications:  Candidates should have a B.S. in a relevant field and 3-5 years work experience in a laboratory setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work will be primarily carried out in a laboratory setting and will require safety training and exposure to chemicals; position requires sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to occasionally lift 25 pounds or more.
