The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of autonomic studies. The applicant should have experience in the development and administration of an autonomic studies laboratory in a tertiary care setting. The applicant must also have expertise in the performance of skin, nerve and muscle biopsies. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine. 3-5 years of applicable clinical and teaching experience is expected at the Associate Professor level. 

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents and neuromuscular fellows, as well as EMG technologists.

Clinical responsibilities may include the clinical care of patients with neuromuscular and autonomic disorders, performance of nerve conduction studies and EMG, and the interpretation of autonomic studies. This will also include inpatient neurology service time in line with the standard clinical department requirements.

Additional responsibilities may include active involvement in clinical trials.
