Salary: £23,754 to £26,715 plus £4800 London weighting per annum

The Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint a full-time Research & Enterprise Officer to provide a comprehensive service to research staff and doctoral students. The role-holder will play a key role in shaping and developing a research community environment and integrating the work of research students and early career researchers into the wider University. The Faculty includes a diverse and vibrant mix of research themes and this role builds upon and celebrates the contribution that our new researchers make.
This is a challenging position in a small team based in a busy office environment. The core role is to be the key point of contact for all students, academic supervisors for the Faculty PGR workstream and co-ordinate the management of individual student issues, upgrade examinations and general queries. Other key tasks include building a new researcher web presence, run discussion forums, assist with progression paperwork, monitor attendance and assist with the admissions process. In addition the organisation of a range of events and activities will be required such as an annual conference, heats for thesis and poster competitions, induction sessions and training events.
Candidates must have previous experience in postgraduate research student administration within Higher Education and preferably experience of working within a research environment.
Excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability to plan tasks and small projects efficiently.
