Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Fellow in English and Creative Writing: Poetry in the Department of English.
The successful candidate will join a team of prize-winning writers in the department, including seven Fellows of the Royal Society of Literature.
You will have a national profile as an author with a track record of publication in poetry and experience of teaching creative writing at undergraduate level and postgraduate levels. You will also be able to teach poetry seminars on our BA English programme. You will have demonstrated the ability to work with others in teaching and/or administration.
Candidates will be expected to provide teaching in creative writing at BA levels and MA levels, with an emphasis on poetry and poetics, to foster the work of students seeking publication, and to contribute to co-curricular enrichment activities. Additional expertise in teaching twentieth-century poetry and/or modernist literature is also desirable.
