Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 502085), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in microbiology or biology with at least two years’ post-doctoral work experience in immunology and cell biology. They should be highly competent in molecular and cellular immunological techniques. Experience in conducting small animal model, multi-color FACS analysis and cell sorting is desirable. The appointee is expected to work independently on research projects related to HIV/AIDS immunotherapy and host immune response against SARS-CoV-2.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
