Director of Vascular Medicine
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, housestaff and cardiology fellows. The selected candidate will lead an interdisciplinary academic vascular medicine program within Cardiovascular Medicine and Vascular Surgery.
Clinical responsibilities may include an outpatient and inpatient consultative service focused on non-interventional care of peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysm and dissection, venous disease, thromboembolic disorders, and unusual vascular syndromes.
Research or scholarship responsibilities require a record of proficient academic productivity. Candidates must have experience in vascular research.
Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease is required.
Experience is required in working with multidisciplinary teams. There will be an expectation of the ability of the selected candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have a primary academic appointment in the Department of Medicine with an opportunity for a secondary academic appointment in the Department of Surgery.
