Job Details
Air Traffic Management Research Institute invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake research and development related to UAS traffic management
- Develop algorithms and models for UAS performance estimation
- Develop algorithms for UAS trajectory prediction and achieve synergies with the other research topics in the team
- Liaise with stake holders to solicit feedbacks and requirements
- Prepare research papers, reports and presentations
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree from acclaimed university in the area of mechanics, science, engineering, aviation of mechanical design
- Experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) related fields such as UAV design, control or on-board equipment development
- Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++/C#, Java, Python, Matlab
- Good English writing and communication skills
- Self-starter, independent learner, curious, task-oriented, team-player
- Able to fulfill multi-tasking
- Willing to accept and perform last-minute job(s)
- Experience with air traffic management is advantageous

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
