Overview

We are seeking an experienced registered nurse with a passion for nursing and its future, to join our innovative, energetic, forward-thinking team on our Joondalup Campus located in Perth. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to make a difference at ECU and within the wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Western Australian community through innovation in research and teaching and learning.

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is at the cutting-edge of nurse education and research. We provide the largest undergraduate nursing program in Western Australia, as well as a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs of study, to prepare students for positions in nursing and midwifery. The School of Nursing and Midwifery also produces research at a level exceeding world standard through our well-established and growing Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Services Research.

Academic Level A Lecturer

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a track record in nursing, hold a postgraduate qualification at master’s level and demonstrate some experience in education at university and/or in clinical practice. There will be significant support provided for the successful applicant through formal mentorship. Support will also be provided to further research and teaching skills and to undertake further studies.

Academic Level B Lecturer

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a sound professional and academic track record in nursing, hold a postgraduate qualification at master’s level or higher, and demonstrate education and research experience within a tertiary education setting. Formal mentorship will be provided to the successful applicant. It is an expectation that the successful applicant will be either currently undertaking doctoral studies or will commence on appointment.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full-time, ongoing position attract a salary of $71,506 to $95,855 pa (ALEVA) OR $100,643 to $120,814 (ALEVB), plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
