The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Responsibilities may include training activities in delivery of clinical care, clinical research, assisting with clinical trials, continuing proton training, and additional duties as assigned.

Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board eligible in radiation oncology. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to gain additional experience and specific expertise in a wide variety of radiation therapy modalities, including protons in particular. The candidate will also have the opportunity to further gain independence in his/her chosen research field through activities such as supporting clinical trials and preparation of research grants, reports, abstracts, and peer-reviewed publications.

Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research and clinical care.
