Research Associate in Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical epidemiology and biostatistics.
Responsibilities may include planning and executing clinical epidemiology studies of chronic skin diseases with a focus on sarcoidosis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and skin cancer; writing grants, presenting the results of studies at laboratory meetings, departmental seminars, and national and international meetings; aiding in the preparation of scientific papers; supervising junior lab members including students.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in clinical epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop the skills in analytical epidemiology.
