Instructor A - Pediatric Radiology - CHOP
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatrics.
Responsibilities may include teaching of residents, medical students, and/or fellows. Instructors are provided several educational seminars to prepare them for an academic career.
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board Certified/Board eligible in Radiology. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop research credentials, including scholarships.
Evidence of additional professional training may include:
- Candidates who have received/or applied for an NIH K Award or other Career Development Awards from foundations.
- Training in basic science research related to a specific area. Clinical activities will be related to additional training.
- Development of expertise in teaching, administration, clinical research. The applicant must have a demonstrated research focus in a specific area with a desire to start an independent career.
- Candidates may be enrolled in additional training programs including
- Master's studies.
