Assistant Professor - Tenure or Clinician Educator Track - CHOP
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching and mentoring students, trainees, residents, and interns.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical services within the department and associated organizations, such as providing patient care in the Division of Oncology, Center for ADHD Management, Integrated Behavioral Health Services, or other locations.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include leading independent and collaborative human research in pediatric mental health and development of a research program involving synergistic interactions with other clinical and preclinical neurodevelopment scientists at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania.
Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.
The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS) at CHOP had over 40,000 patient contacts in 2017, and is investing substantially in the infrastructure and faculty to build upon our world-class pediatric mental health research. We have a particular interest in research in the areas of mood disorders, anxiety, and eating disorders within pediatric populations. Potential research modalities include clinical trials, longitudinal risk factor studies, brain imaging, and genetic or metabolic studies seeking to improve personalized treatments.
