Description
The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking an academically oriented, board-certified surgical pathologist with specialized competence in breast pathology and a second subspecialty. Appointment and salary will depend upon level of expertise and accomplishments. The successful candidate will participate in the service responsibilities of a large and diversified diagnostic practice; contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and develop an academic program reflective of their interests.
The Department serves Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, major teaching and referral centers in southern Connecticut, and a robust outreach program providing consultative services to regional practitioners and beyond.
Southern Connecticut offers beautiful shoreline, affordable housing, excellent schools, numerous recreational opportunities, and easy access to New York, Boston, Newport, Cape Cod, and the ski slopes of New England.
Qualifications
A record of demonstrated academic productivity and clinical excellence in Diagnostic Pathology is required. Candidates must be board certified in Anatomical Pathology; a minimum of two years of independent sign-out experience is preferred.
