Job Description Summary

The EP Data Manager will oversee data entry, data management, plus provide programming and analytic support of the EP Research Registry, International VT database, and other initiatives. The primary responsibility will involve oversight of extraction and entry of medical record data into the registry databases, including managing two data entry assistants. The Data Manager will also assure clean data sets, and conduct statistical analyses in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, faculty investigators, and study team to support research efforts. The Data Manager will prepare tables, graphs and descriptive summaries of data for presentations, progress reports, grant applications and manuscripts. The Data Manager will also be expected to provide data analyst support faculty investigators, including developing “in-house” methods of analysis using Matlab and other applications as needed.

Database development/management and analysis

  • Develop and manage EP Research Registry including retrospective and prospective procedural and follow-up data input
  • Oversee input of IVTCC – International VT registry data
  • Develop data analysis algorithms/platforms (e.g. using Matlab) in collaboration with faculty investigators

Supervision of data entry research assistants

  • Schedules and manages time
  • Oversees effort / quality of work, including integrity and completeness of data entry
  • Works with EP admin to complete performance reviews / performance management

Faculty support, project development

  • Collaborates and supports faculty with statistical analysis and feasibility for local research proposals
  • Supports fellows’ required research efforts

Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of data analyst experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required knowledge includes process and data modeling, data architectural development methodology and working knowledge of databases. Experience using data analysis tool and databases. Demonstrated competence in systems analysis and design and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
