You will be expected to contribute to research and teaching in one or more of the following areas of Civil Engineering,
- Civil Engineering Surveying
- Geotechnics
- Materials
You should have a wealth of experience about various teaching and research related activities including but not limited to high quality journal publications, research income generation, PhD supervision, interactive teaching, industrial engagement and involved in the delivery of collaborative programmes nationally and internationally.
You should have knowledge and understanding of the National Student Survey (NSS) and Research Excellence Framework (REF). You should also play an active role to contribute towards the Faculty strategic aims in Scholarship, Research and Knowledge Transfer.
You should have a PhD in a Civil Engineering or related subject and are a Chartered member of a Professional Institution or on the way to be Chartered.

With over 4,000 students and 250 staff, the Faculty specialises in Astrophysics, Maritime and Mechanical Engineering; Electronics and Electrical Engineering; Built Environment; Civil Engineering; Computer Science and Applied Mathematics.
