Wood Jones Chair in Anatomy will provide academic and research leadership within the Adelaide Medical School (AMS)

AMS is one of the strongest research and teaching departments at the University and is home to programs including the MBBS and from 2021, the BMD. The Wood Jones Chair in Anatomy will ensure that human anatomy education at the University of Adelaide is of the highest national and international standard. If successful you will be responsible for enhancement of existing approaches and development of novel approaches to anatomy education. Particular emphasis will be given to the development and use of modern and novel digital technologies in anatomy teaching.

To succeed in this position you will have excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and a distinguished teaching and research track record. A collegiate approach to working is considered important as is the ability to work effectively with partners and colleagues.

To be successful you will need:

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant area of anatomical sciences or associated discipline with relevant research experience, or
  • Equivalent accreditation and standing and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.
  • Established undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching skills including program and/or course coordination across a range of programs including Medicine.
  • Ability to influence change and demonstrate in an innovative nature using multi-modal anatomy resources.
