The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Radiology

Location: Chicago


The University of Chicago Medicine, Department of Radiology is expanding and searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The appointee will have responsibilities in adult and pediatric neuroradiology including brain, head and neck, and spine with a full complement of advanced imaging procedures and supervision of minor procedures.  The University of Chicago Medicine is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Care Center and a referral center for numerous neurologic and otolaryngologic disorders.  Participation in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences is expected. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.  Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.  

Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities available to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group as well as other clinical and basic science departments throughout the campus. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Radiology, and 4) have completed a fellowship in neuroradiology or equivalent.
