General Manager, ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science
The Australian National University (ANU) College of Engineering and Computer Science is seeking an experienced senior manager and strategic leader to join the executive team.
The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is an exceptional community of students, educators, scholars and researchers who embrace the breadth of the computing and engineering professions. CECS is composed of a diverse and vibrant community dedicated to discovery and to making knowledge matter. Academics and students are engaged in ground-breaking, cutting-edge research, in exciting areas such as renewable energy, robotics, telecommunications, biomaterials, human-machine interaction and artificial intelligence.
The General Manager will lead, manage and set direction for the provision of all administrative and support services within the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Sciences while ensuring that the administrative and support functions, policies and procedures across the College support the achievement of College and University strategic goals. The General Manager will also provide leadership and supervise the functional areas of Finance, Human Resources including WHS responsibilities, Research and Innovation Management, Student Administration, Student Recruitment, Marketing, Communications and Outreach (including event management), Information Technology, Facilities Management, Alumni Relations and Philanthropy, External Stakeholder Engagement and Executive Support.
It is expected that the appointee will have extensive experience in the management of financial, human and material resources, the ability to work collaboratively to achieve College priorities in a complex operating environment, and an ability to lead teams and to foster productive working relationships to achieve successful outcomes.
