As part of our ongoing development and expansion of science provision at the Foundation, Extended, Apprenticeship, and Undergraduate levels within the University, we are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral teaching demonstrator in the life sciences. The position, which is for one year in the first instance, would suit a newly qualified PhD graduate in the life sciences who has a passion for education and outreach and is a teaching and scholarship appointment. The focus of the post initially is the delivery of key experimental techniques to the undergraduate levels across science. It is an exciting opportunity for a suitably motivated, dynamic individual with a passion for teaching and supporting the school-to-university transition as well as teaching advanced techniques in the biosciences. You will be primarily responsible for supporting the delivery of laboratory classes, with the potential for developing lecturing skills and other academic duties including student assessment, marking and pastoral support. Applications from individuals with experience of leading broad Undergraduate laboratory practical sessions, and/or with a background in molecular biology and/or immunology would be particularly welcome.

The post will be based in the School of Science on the Medway campus.

For informal enquiries, please contact the Head of School, Professor Adrian Dobbs on A.Dobbs@gre.ac.uk

We are looking for people who can help us deliver our mission of transforming lives through inspired teaching and research, through our values.
