Assistant Lecturer (holding the title of Clinical Psychologist) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 501868) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

The appointee will work in the project on “Building Emotional Resilience in Hong Kong Families – Professional Capacity Building for Family Social Workers” under the Department of Social Work and Social Administration.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Clinical Psychology, or be a senior professional with certification in cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), and have excellent clinical skills in CBT.  Experiences in teaching, training and supervising students/professionals, preferably in CBT, would be favored.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and the ability to work independently and as a team.

The appointee shall provide clinical training and supervision for social workers on the assessment and management of families who are at-risk or experiencing individual and family problems, give advice on professional training for family social workers, provide coaching, supervising and consultations to social workers in relation to CBT applications in group work and casework, and perform other administrative duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on two-year fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
