Support/Academic/Management Support

An opportunity has arisen within our dedicated Academic Support Team for a Specialist Support Tutor. We are looking for a dedicated individual to support and advise students with identified Specific Learning Difficulties and/or disabilities.

The successful candidate will provide 1-1 and group academic skills support to higher education students, provide in-house assessments and support on the completion of Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews.

You will have experience of working with and supporting students who have an SpLD or disability in an educational setting, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Opportunities for self and professional development will be provided, and the post-holder will be encouraged to work towards an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) if they do not already hold one.

This is a fractional role, positioned around the main further and higher education teaching weeks (40 weeks per year). Flexibility in terms of working hours is essential as there are some early starts and late finishes.
