The Division of Health Services Research & Management (HSRM) brings together the Health Services Research, Health Management, Health Psychology and Public Health teams to deliver excellence in teaching and research.

Responsibilities

The Health Services Research and Management Division is seeking to appoint a full-time Research Assistant to work on the data analysis of a number of studies for 12 months including studies on the impact of chemotherapy on cognition, an RCT to examine then effects of providing self-management and personalised genetic information to individuals with diabetes and specific analyses of one large data set on individuals with long term conditions and another data set of frail elderly individuals.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:
Postgraduate qualification in Health Psychology or an allied subject
Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
Experience of developing, maintaining and producing information from databases
Experience of using SPSS and other statistical packages and familiarity with SPSS syntax codes
Experience of complex statistical data analysis such as multilevel modelling (MLM)
Knowledge of research design
Good command of written and spoken English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
