UCD is ranked in the QS top 150 of World Universities in Architecture and the Built Environment. The School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental offers a range of undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes professionally accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Irish Planning Institute and the Irish Landscape Institute. The School offers the only landscape architecture programme on the island of Ireland, accredited by the ILI and EFLA. Students are enabled to think creatively, critically and holistically about sustainable places, whether in design practice or through transferring knowledge to action in the policy and planning process.
The School operates within the immediate framework of the practice of architecture and landscape architecture in Ireland and in the larger context of international practice and research. Its mission is to prepare students for careers in architecture and landscape architecture, to be a genuine learning laboratory and testing ground for the professions, and to make a strong and valuable contribution to architectural and interdisciplinary research. Accordingly, its programmes promote an integrated and dynamic relationship between teaching and research, the profession, the industry and culture at large. This mission informs all aspects of its activities, and particularly its main teaching programmes.
Applications are being sought for part-time studio teaching posts in Landscape Architecture at UCD.
Successful candidates will come from the field of professional practice and be asked to contribute to the delivery of the School's landscape architecture teaching programmes in a number of areas including studio, seminar and teaching modules and will also be asked to contribute to the School's activities in innovation. These posts are targeted at professional, practice based landscape architects who are at the forefront of the profession and the discipline in industry.

Administrative Officer1 Salary Scale: €43,739-€59,370 (Salary will be adjusted to 27 weeks and scaled proportionality according to FTE)
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
