Two Open-Rank Faculty Positions in Cognitive Science

The Department of Cognitive Science at Central European University (CEU), Vienna, invites applications for two full-time open rank faculty positions in Cognitive Science. At the level of Assistant Professors, initial contracts will be for six years, renewable as indefinite after review. The positions will be available from the 2021/22 academic year. 

We will consider applications from any subfield of cognitive science. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who can build research collaboration with present faculty members of the department. The successful candidates will hold these positions at the Vienna campus of CEU, where the Department of Cognitive Science will be relocated. Duties and responsibilities:

Successful candidates are expected to run an internationally recognized research program, to collaborate with present faculty members of the department, to apply for external research funding, to train and supervise PhD students, and to participate in departmental initiatives.
Teaching duties are primarily focused at the PhD level. The teaching and administrative loads allow new faculty members to pursue intensive research.

Qualifications: 

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in cognitive science or related disciplines by the start of the appointment. They must have a promising research agenda and a record of publications in peer-reviewed academic journals in any subfield of cognitive science.
