An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced project manager to join the Generator, the university’s student enterprise centre.

The university has been successful in securing funding from the Office for Students (OfS) for a two-year project investigating the impact of knowledge exchange on students.

The OfS Project Manager, with the support of a Project Assistant, will be responsible for delivering a series of 2 day ‘hack’ events, each hosted by a different external organisation or company. During the hack events groups of students (approximately 50 at each event) will be tasked with solving a number of live briefs set by the host organisations. The purpose of the hack events is to enable students to apply their skills and experience to solve real challenges in the host organisations, which will in turn give them experience of consultancy and entrepreneurship to enhance their employability and graduate prospects.

The OfS Project Manager will play a crucial role in delivering, improving and evaluating the project to ensure it meets the expectations and needs of students, partners and the funding body.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing externally funded projects or programmes for the education sector. Experience of working in the context of entrepreneurship and/or employability would be advantageous, along with a commitment to making a real impact on students facing barriers to accessing and progressing in work and self-employment.

The job will be based in the university’s new enterprise hub the Powerhouse, located at the Greenwich Maritime Campus, a UNESCO world heritage site.
