The Centre for Renewable Energy has ongoing Innovate UK and EPSRC projects on renewable energy integrated EV charging and thermoelectric energy harvesting. This requires a research assistant/research fellow to work on the research of power electronics for these topics under the supervision of Dr Jerry Luo and Prof. Chris Sansom. The RA is required to design, test and evaluate the power electronic circuitry for the energy generation systems. He/she will be assisting in the existing projects on these topics. This will contribute to the current researches and generate new research opportunities.

For this position you are required to have a PhD (obtained or near completion) in the relevant subject. You will be involved in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. The ability to communicate, rapidly assess information, resolve problems and respond in a timely manner is essential. You will have experience in power electronics, together with a developing track record of publishing in high quality publications. Industrial experience would be an advantage.
